Bollina slitting and recoiling lines with floating assembly system are designed for companies seeking maximum production flexibility and reduced setup times. The floating assembly system allows the cutting configuration to be changed quickly, making these lines ideal for varying production requirements and frequent changeovers.
Each line is custom-designed to suit the material, required number of strips and the customer’s production needs. Mechanical design and automation are developed in-house, enabling fully customised solutions that integrate seamlessly into the production cycle.
Slitting Technology
The slitting head uses a floating assembly system, in which each knife and its rubber ring are mounted on a knife holder that can be manually positioned along the shafts and locked in place. This allows quick, straightforward configuration changes, significantly reducing setup times and increasing production flexibility.
To ensure high finished-coil quality, all lines are equipped with a three-shaft separator system that guides the strips correctly through to recoiling, maintaining tension, alignment and recoiling quality.
Customisable Tensioning Units
Depending on the material being processed, the line can be equipped with different strip tensioning systems:
- Roll tensioning unit, ideal for delicate materials requiring maximum control during recoiling.
- Felt-pad tensioning unit, particularly suitable for less sensitive materials or oiled surfaces.
- Combined roll and felt-pad tensioning unit, offering the benefits of both systems for maximum operating flexibility.
