Bollina slitting and recoiling lines with pack assembly system are designed for high-output applications where precision, cutting quality and performance are the key requirements. This technology allows a large number of simultaneous cuts, the production of narrow strips and higher processing speeds while maintaining excellent recoiling quality.
Each line is custom-designed to suit the material, required strip dimensions and the customer’s production needs. Mechanical design and automation are developed in-house, enabling fully customised lines that integrate seamlessly into the production process.
Slitting Technology
The slitting head uses a pack assembly system, in which the shafts are fully assembled with the correct sequence of knives, rubber rings and spacers. This configuration requires longer setup times than a floating assembly system, but delivers significantly higher performance in demanding applications.
The main advantages of the pack assembly system are:
• Strip widths starting from 10 mm
• A large number of simultaneous cuts
• Greater cutting precision and quality
• Improved recoiling stability
• Higher production speeds
To ensure consistent finished-coil quality, all lines are equipped with a separator system designed to maintain proper strip control throughout the recoiling process.
Customisable Tensioning Units
Depending on the material being processed, the line can be equipped with different strip tensioning systems:
- Roll tensioning unit, ideal for delicate materials requiring maximum control during recoiling.
- Felt-pad tensioning unit, suitable for less sensitive materials or oiled surfaces.
- Combined roll and felt-pad tensioning unit, providing maximum versatility for the efficient processing of a wide range of materials.
